It was such a pleasure to have been a Hawkstone Hall Wedding Videographer for Ulugbek and Shaunagh. Captured at Hawkstone Hall in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
After what seemed like forever in lockdown, weddings could finally go ahead again and in a somewhat ‘normal’ capacity! As a result, excited was an understatement, being my first full day wedding after 18 months of unknown! It is certainly one I will remember!
Preps
Firstly, Shaunagh’s bridal prep took place in Hawkstone Hall’s stunning bridal suite, joined by her mum and maids the morning was very relaxing. Not forgetting, the many pamper stations dotted about the room, taking care of everyone’s hair and make-up needs.
Ulugbek arrived and was soon spotted from the bridal suite window unpacking the car with his groomsmen. Now that all of the important people were here it was almost time for their ceremony. I think everyone was feeling the emotions during their ceremony after waiting for so long for this moment.
At long last they were wed and being showered by confetti as they exited the chapel!
Reception
Following this, their reception went down well with canapes and cocktails in the sunshine with the ambient sounds of their string quartet. Soon myself and Clare (photographer) took them off for some alone time and we were escorted in a buggy out into the grounds of Hawkstone Hall. With so much to offer we were spoilt for choice from gardens, bridge, trees and the venue as backdrops.
Next, it was speech time and again emotions were running high. Unfortunately, Ulugbek’s family weren’t able to fly to the UK because of covid restrictions still being in place – BUT his family had pre-recorded speeches which were shared with everyone. Such a lovely touch!
Evening
One of my favourite moments of the day is coming up and that’s because I love dancing! Guests were moved to a new room for cutting of the cake and first dance. As the bride and groom were announced into the room they were greeted by a huge round of applause from their guests and made their way in to cut the cake. Shortly followed by their choreographed first dance, beautiful!
