A little more about their wedding
Rich and Jennie were wed at Alcumlow Wedding Barn in a lovely civil ceremony. For an August wedding it was quite possibly the windiest day of the year! Alcumlow Wedding Barn is a perfect location for a wedding set in the gorgeous cheshire countryside.
Firstly, the day began with Jennie and her bridal party as they prepared for the day ahead. It was a relaxed morning and her maid of honour had thought of everything when it came to gifts for the bride to be.
When Jennie was ready and in her dress, her father saw her for the very first time. His face was a real picture. Both parents in fact, so proud of their daughter.
Meanwhile, Rich readied himself alongside his groomsmen at Alcumlow Wedding Barn. They had a pretty calm morning too as they lounged in their bathrobes before they got themselves suited and booted.
Guests start to arrive at Alcumlow and Rich was there to greet them excited for the day ahead. With everyone inside the barn it was time for Jennie’s entrance. Her chosen mode of transport – a VW camper – made it’s way up the drive and with only a short walk to the ceremony Jennie entered the barn on her fathers arm.
Their ceremony was beautifully led by the ‘Your Ceremony’ team and their flower girls did a wonderful job of the reading they did. Following their ceremony a surprise guest greeted them outside. He was a chimney sweep which her mother had organised and is apparently good luck on your wedding day. In the meantime a live acoustic set played in the background as the bubbles flowed and canapes served.
As their reception went on it was time for their speeches which were lighthearted with lots of fun filled stories of their journey together.
After the wedding breakfast Rich had organised a very competitive escape game for all of the guests to participate in. This was so much fun to capture and see guests trying to figure out the clues! Before long a winner shouted up and a bar tab won. Brilliant idea!
The evening celebrations soon came around and the acoustic set turned in to a live band and had everyone up on the dance floor in no time!
